Our neighborhood is diverse, made up of colorful local small shops and businesses that give our community vibrancy. Our neighborhoods hail from many backgrounds and each have their own story. Much of our neighbors came here from different countries to build a better life for them and their families, much like I did. These shared experiences should be celebrated and I will fight for our fair share of funding for non-profits in the area that celebrate our backgrounds and people, and our shared history as New Yorkers.
Much like transportation and roads, the upkeep of our parks often take a backseat to other neighborhoods. I will fight for equitable funding and to restore our parks to reflect the beauty of our community.
